Joining the Retail Management Team, you'll be at the forefront of driving excellence in Vinnies' retail operations statewide. From advising Area Support Managers to empowering Shop Management Teams, your expertise will fuel success at every level.

Take the reins of leadership and accountability, ensuring our retail operations continue their impressive trajectory under your guidance. As the Retail Operations Manager, you'll orchestrate a dynamic team, propelling our vital retail endeavours to new heights.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume leadership of Area shop operations, ensuring functional effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Area Support Managers and Shop Managers to instil a robust customer service culture in every shop.
  • Where necessary, establish Shop Management Teams under the supervision of Shop Managers to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Guarantee that Shop Managers and Shop Management Teams are adequately equipped to manage shops independently.
  • Identify areas for improvement in shop operations and provide tailored support to achieve desired outcomes, leveraging insights from shop visit reports.
  • Conduct regular reviews of transport operations in coordination with the Transport Team Leader to enhance logistics efficiency and productivity.
  • Continually explore and leverage opportunities for regional cooperation among shops for mutual benefit.

 

You will have:

  • Experience as an area or operations manager running a large retail team on multiple sites with solid working knowledge of retail shops
  • Experience in running retail sales online is preferable
  • Customer service experience and experience in effective issue resolution
  • Ability to work and problem solve in a dynamic environment
  • Manage the business in accordance with the P&L
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Motor vehicle licence
  • Productivity improvement experience in a warehousing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with staff, volunteers, senior management, and key stakeholders focusing on the achievement of agreed outcomes.
