About the role
As a ‘trusted adviser’ to the Group CEO and executive team, the Executive General Manager, People and Culture (EGM, P&C) sets the Vinnies Victoria’s people and culture vision and leads the people and culture function. With accountability for driving the development and implementation of people and culture strategies, programs, policies, systems and processes, the EGM, P&C will ensure these practices are implemented in an efficient, effective, customer-focused and legally compliant manner. The appointee will encourage an organisation-wide commitment to quality and continuous improvement through leadership of data-informed development initiatives that address current and future business and people capability needs. Critical to the success of this role is the development of trusted relationships with staff, members and volunteers.
About you
Inspired by the high-value, community-focused work of Vinnies Victoria, you have extensive experience providing strategic advice and strong leadership to people and culture functions within organisations supported by complex governance structures. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build collaborative working relationships at all levels of an organisation, where you inspire and motivate people, and effectively build trust. Underpinning your well-rounded skillset across strategic and operational priorities is your systems-thinking approach to quickly understand the operating landscape, enabling you to ‘hit the ground running’. Leverage your passion for optimising culture to support an organisation providing critical community services across the state.
